The Approach

Taking advantage of the extraordinary views and the increased demand for downtown living in the bustling Canal Street area, a significant portion of the historic trade center transformation is the design of luxury residences on the upper floors of this waterfront icon. Unit designs in this unusual, cross-shaped building feature sweeping views up and down the river and toward the vibrant Central Business District and French Quarter. CambridgeSeven’s services included design of the off-site sales gallery and model unit that includes interactive video to show residents not only the interior of their chosen unit, but the view theyll enjoy.

The Result

The new design transforms the obsolete office building using opulent five-star finishes and amenities. Residents share access to the hotel’s fitness center and spa and such private amenities as a resident’s lounge and dining, business center, golf simulator, and children’s playspace. More than just a new luxury building, a cornerstone of the development features public attractions including roof-top cupola transformed into a cultural celebration of Louisianas heritage, a panoramic observation deck, extensive landscaped paths and gardens, outdoor dining venues and a new ferry terminal.
