The Paul Dietrich Gallery was established in 1999 by one of the firm’s founding partners, Paul Dietrich, as a tribute to collaboration across all design disciplines. Today the Gallery showcases a range of local artists, as well as the work of current and past employees. These inspiring quarterly shows present a range of perspectives on art, architecture and design. The Gallery, located in CambridgeSeven’s offices, is open to the public during business hours, M-F, 9am-5pm. We hope you will drop by and be inspired by our artist friends!

Through my photography I try to convey the mood or emotion I felt at that specific moment at that specific location. This is achieved through composition and varying levels of abstraction of the elements that constitute the “Essence of Place.” These elements can be light, form, texture or color. Once the subject matter is removed from the photograph, only the emotion remains. The same principles apply in my work in Architectural Design. What is the “Essence of Design” for a building? How can it be captured in one sketch or photograph?
