The Project

It isn’t often that you have a chance to change a city skyline with an iconic new tower. Designed in partnership with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners for developer, Carpenter & Company, the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences is New England’s tallest residential tower and the Back Bay anchor to Boston’s high spine.

The Approach

The glass-clad tower’s soft triangulated shape dictates a unit configuration that creates privacy among the units and maximizes their spectacular views. Its unique form also allows a private residents’ entrance and valet separate from the hotel entrance. Because of the large central core, 3 sets of high speed destination dispatch elevators whisk residents to their semi-private lobbies, with only 1 or 2 units accessed per elevator. The units feature operable bay windows reminiscent of the area brownstones, but articulated in a new 21st century expression. Corner units enjoy immersive city views from the 180 degree curved floor-to-ceiling glass.

The Result

Boston’s latest LEED Silver high-rise luxury condominiums and 5 star hotel is a distinctive new address in a venerable city. With sweeping views in all directions, the private residences are some of the most coveted real estate in the city. In addition to the hotel’s health club, pool and spa, the residential amenities include an exclusive 50th floor sky lounge, as well as an indoor golf simulator, private screening theater, pet spa and children’s play space. CambridgeSeven also provided complete interior design services for several custom units as well as the original sales center model unit and were invaluable partners to the residential sales team.
