Searles Science Building

Updating a historic campus science building for modern, collaborative science and technology instruction provided an opportunity for the college to upgrade the building’s systems and accessibility, too. Now home to Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, the refreshed Searles features a three-story community space that is both circulation and an informal gathering area. Through a series of intensive design sessions to gather faculty input, the team developed a paired classroom/lab plan that allowed flexible teaching.
