Our Common Wealth

CambridgeSeven designed this exhibit, “Our Common Wealth: The Massachusetts Experiment in Democracy, 1620-Today” to illuminate several original documents that served as the foundations for freedoms in Massachusetts, including the original 1629 Massachusetts Bay Charter. Through hands-on activities visitors learn if they would have qualified as a witch in 17th century Massachusetts, create rubbings from replicas of Paul Revere’s Boston Massacre plate and glimpse the hardships suffered by children working in 19th century mills.
